Visual signatures vs. certified digital signatures
This tool embeds a signature image on your PDF - similar to signing a printed page and scanning it back in. It is useful for informal agreements, internal approvals, and forms that accept a visual signature.
It does not create a legally certified digital signature (such as PKCS#7/PAdES) with identity verification, certificate chains, or tamper-evident audit trails. If your workflow requires a certified e-signature platform, use a provider built for that purpose.
With PageCraft PDF, your PDF and signature image are processed in memory on the server. Files are not kept as permanent storage.

Is this a legally binding digital signature?
No. This tool adds a visual signature image to the PDF. It is not a certified digital signature with cryptographic identity verification or tamper-evident audit trails.
Can I sign a specific page?
Yes. Select the page from the preview page dropdown, place your signature, and download. The signature is applied to that page only.
What signature formats can I upload?
You can upload PNG, JPG, or WebP images up to 2 MB. The image is converted to PNG for placement on the PDF.
Can I move or resize the signature?
Yes. Drag the signature on the preview to reposition it and use the size slider to make it larger or smaller before downloading.
